Remote Enforcement with OperationsCommander for Android
REMOTE ENFORCEMENT MEANS TAKING YOUR OPERATION ON THE ROAD
Our cost-effective OPS-COM for Android remote enforcement app for parking citations allows for the simplified retrieval and management of violations by security staff in the field. Users can quickly view and record details specific to vehicles on location. Merging new information with the cloud-based OperationsCommander application enables your office to be proactive and efficient.
Imagine data available on handheld devices where you need it and when you need it.
With vehicle and permit remote enforcement query tools, important information is literally a few clicks away. OPS-COM LPR exposes many options for automated traffic enforcement.
Integration with a Bluetooth printer enables patrol officers or any staff with an Android handheld device to issue violations within a seamless interface. In the field, data sync ensures violation details will be readily available for user appeals and payments long before security staff returns to the office.
Patrol staff can easily share chalking data remotely between colleagues. Tire chalk data includes time, date, image, and GPS location. Parkers are granted a grace period to allow for payments. Both static LPR cameras and patrol staff can share and link data remotely. Static LPR cameras chalk visitors as they arrive and set a grace period countdown timer. As security patrols navigate parking areas, this information is available, including images and chalked data records from fellow patrol staff. When they issue citations, the details are linked for future review.
POINT. CLICK. ENFORCE.
Also known as LPR, ALPR (automation license plate recognition), and ANPR (automatic numeric plate recognition).
We are streamlining parking and security management operations through the use of technology. LPR technology allows a patrol officer to quickly scan plates by pointing an ALPR-enabled device at vehicle tags/plates.
Patrol staff can scan vehicles with vehicle-mounted cameras or take a picture with an OPS-COM enabled tablet.

Parking Control Software
OperationsCommander leverages the advanced features of the Google Android operating system on handheld devices. This creates a cost-effective Android parking software solution that offers many features, including in-the-field remote data access. Most Android devices can be used and linked to a belt-clipped Bluetooth printer to allow for mobile violation printing.
While doing remote parking enforcement, the Security and Safety Patrol (SSP) can query plates and take pictures of the vehicles showing the infraction. Also, while in the field, the parking safety office or system dispatcher can push notifications to the device. The Android OPS-COM parking control app is the perfect enforcement solution to complement a parking ticket system, offering patrols secure remote access to citation data.
Parking Enforcement in Your Palm
OperationsCommander mobile offers many advanced features for in-the-field patrol staff. Remote parking enforcement data access is key to the system architecture and automatically syncs data to the main office. The data sync lets the handheld device push new violations to the server. Remote data sync also pulls new vehicle details in the same transaction to confirm vehicle registration. As violations are written and pushed to the server, they can be available to end users. These users can often pay or appeal a violation before the patrol returns to the dispatch office.
Vehicle searches can be performed in several ways, including typing the plate directly into the device, using voice recognition, and speaking the plate directly. The latest addition is simply taking a picture and using the built-in license plate recognition (LPR) engine to recognize the plate. Many users enjoy the LPR picture search since it requires limited interaction with the device.
If your installation uses LPR static cameras, data from these devices can also be pushed to the handheld. With an entry camera, the vehicle can be virtually or “tire” chalked when it enters the parking lot. When the remote enforcement device scans the plate later, the system identifies that the vehicle has been in the lot since it was chalked on entry. The virtual tire chalk record is cleared if the user purchases parking from a parking self-serve kiosk.
Shared Parking Data in the Field
Any remote enforcement picture taken is stored and available when a violation is issued. Using the remote enforcement handheld, patrol staff (SSP) #1 can virtual chalk a vehicle, and when SSP #2 comes by an hour later, they can leverage the shared chalk data. If SSP #2 issues a ticket to the vehicle, the chalking image created by SSP #1 is included in the violation. Users who log into the OPS-COM cloud portal are presented with all the images, reducing appeals and customer interaction.
Notice in the below images that the parker cannot argue their ticket. The vehicle was captured at 10:56 a.m. and remained on-site and in the same position at 1:39 p.m. All surrounding data is shared between the OPS-COM connected devices (LPR, handheld, and mobile cameras).
With this cost-effective Android-based remote parking control technology, there really is No Place To Hide!
The image was taken earlier in the day.
2nd image was taken later in the day.
The plate was scanned and cropped by the LPR system.
This and the images on the left show the vehicle in violation throughout the day, together with a clear image of the plate.
Enforcement Audit Trails
Full data tracking during enforcement.
If a user disputes a violation the system administrator can easily pull up details related to the vehicle and offense.
Some details include:
- image captured during virtual chalking
- GPS coordinates during virtual tire chalking
- image captured at the time of the offense
- GPS coordinates at the time of the offense
- past chalk details
With these details, it is possible to visualize the exact location of the offense using Google Maps.
Security Staff Alerts and Notifications
Users of the Android parking software can be notified of issues as soon as they arise. When coupled with the OperationsCommander alarms module, users can even be notified when an LPR camera “sees” a particular plate. With automatic real-time notifications, security personnel can be notified immediately. With crowd-sourced information feeding into the system from many sources, the patrols can feel safe in the field.
